主演は俳優の窪田正孝さん！男性が朝ドラで主演を務めるのは「マッサン」の玉山鉄二さん以来、6年ぶりです。そして、妻役を二階堂ふみさんが演じ、演技力が抜群に高い二人なので、期待が高まります。
ドラマの主人公は古山裕一（こやまゆういち）と言います。福島で代々続く老舗呉服屋の長男で気弱でいじめられがちな少年でしたが、音楽に出会うとその秘めた才能を発揮し、独学で作曲を始めます。跡取り息子として周囲の期待から商業を学び、伯父が経営する銀行に勤めるんですが、音楽への思いを断ち切れずに、国際作曲コンクールに応募するです。その結果が入賞してしまうんです。この入賞したこときっかけに、歌手を目指しているという女学生・関内 音と知り合い、文通を始めるんです。恋に落ちた裕一は、彼女とともに音楽の道を歩むことを決め、コロンブスレコードと契約します。東京で音と住み始めるですが、これがなかなか・・・

連続ドラマ小説「エール」はコロナウイルス感染拡大の影響で4月1日から撮影がストップしてます。6月27日の振り返り回を最後に一時放送中断となり、6月29日以降は第1回から再放送をしいているんです。収録は6月16日に再開されているんですが、放送再開時期についてはまだわからない状況なんです。これまでの最高視聴率は第37回の22.1％だったんです。
現時点では第70話まで放送されているんですが、その先の放送は延期になってます。
以下には私の中で特に印象に残っている放送を紹介します。
連続ドラマ小説「エール」第27話留学が失敗に終わる！？
幼なじみの鉄男(中村蒼)が訪ねてきて「国際作曲コンクール」の話をします。乗り気でなかった裕一でしたが、銀行の仲間が元気のない裕一を励まそうと後押ししてくれて、作曲することにしました。
そんな時鉄男が口ずさむ詩をヒントに交響曲「竹取物語」を書きあげます。そしてその曲が国際作曲コンクールの2等に入賞するんです。そのことは新聞に載り、それを見た音がファンレターを書き、二人は文通を始めて、なんとか結婚まで漕ぎつけるのですが・・
しかしながら結婚をとるか音楽の道を選ぶのか選択に迫られます。結果、結婚をあきらめ音楽の道に進むことを決めた矢先に留学取り消しの連絡が入るのです。結婚をあきらめてまで行こうとしていた留学がダメになってしまったのです。裕一は深い絶望感にかられます。とうぜんですよね・・・胸が締め付けられる思いでした。この回は是非見て頂きたい！
