今回は、その『東京ラブストーリー』が、29年ぶりに現代版となって新たなキャストを迎えてよみがえるんです。新型コロナウィルスの影響で観客や取材陣を招待せずに無観客で行われた本作の制作発表会では、主演の伊藤健太郎（永尾完治役）、石橋静河（赤名リカ役）、清原翔（三上健一役）、石井杏奈（関口さとみ役）が登壇し、撮影の思い出や作品の見どころについてトークショーを行うんです。

東京ラブストーリー現在版の第1話のあらすじを紹介します。
広告代理店に勤める永尾完治（伊藤健太郎）は、地元の愛媛支部から東京の営業部に配属となり東京へやってくるんです。同僚の赤名リカ（石橋静河）が完治の仕事の面倒を見ることになるんです。
完治は同じく東京にいる地元の同級生・三上健一（清原翔）から早速飲もうと誘われる。完治がずっと密かに想いを寄せていた関口さとみ（石井杏奈）も来ることになり、久々の再会を懐かしんでいたが、会社にいるリカから忘れていた財布を届けるとの連絡があり、四人は一緒に飲むことになる。
その帰り道、いきなり「カンチ、キスしよっか」とリカから言われドギマギする完治。「じゃあ代わりにランチごちそうして！」と積極的なリカ。しかし、リカは上司の和賀（眞島秀和）と関係があると社内で噂されているからやめておいた方がいいと言われる。
