ある日、とあるクライアントから上長宛に
麗子を恐喝罪で訴えると連絡があり、
麗子はボーナスカットを言い渡されます。
その処遇に麗子は憤慨し、

啖呵を切って飛び出し、
しばしの間休職することになります。
時間ができたので手当たり次第
知り合いにメールを送りまくりますが、
返信があったのはただ一人、
元彼の森川栄治だけでした。
しかし、そこのメールに書かれていたのは、
「森川栄治は永眠しました」
という驚がくの訃報でした。
メールの差出人は篠田という
謎の人物で、全く面識がないはずですが
「久しぶりだね」と電話があって……。
さらに驚くべきことに、
栄治には巨額の遺産があり、
「僕の全財産は、僕を殺した犯人に譲る」
という奇妙な遺言状を残していたのです。
