メイのプロポーズで4日間のトライアル結婚生活を送ることになったんですが、3日めの朝、ナギサさんは、なぜか一人分しか朝食を作らずに「本社に呼ばれた」とそそくさと出かけていっちゃうんです。
最初から一緒に朝ごはんを食べる気がなかったの？と思いを巡らすメイなんですが、実はナギサさんが向かったのは、港北中央病院だったんです。
メイが帰宅するとナギサさんはいなかったんです。そしてテーブルの上には、「結婚の話はなかったことに」というメモが残されていました。
メイはナギサさんから3日で愛想をつかされてしまった、メイは完全に落ち込んでしまいます。ですが、料理がまだ温かかったことからナギサさんはまだ近くいると思い、辺りを探しに出かけます。ですが、ナギサさんの姿はありませんでした。
嫌われたと落ち込むメイに田所は、ちゃんと話して相手の口から聞かないとわからないとフォローしてくれます。メイはナギサさんにメッセージを送るんですが返事が全くないんです。

美登里がキッチンで見つけた見知らぬショッピングバッグの中には、ペアのマグカップが入っていたんです。ナギサさんは、メイとの2人の生活を真剣に考えていたんです!
いてもたってもいられず、メイはナギサさんを家まで探しに行くんです。ナギサさんもまたメイの家に戻ってきます。メイからの電話に出るナギサさん。お互いに相手を待っていたことがわかるとメイはナギサさんに動かないで、というが2人はいつもの橋の上で落ち合うんです。
急に出て行かれてショックだったメイは、結婚を止める理由を説明してほしと・・・
ナギサさんは、前日に人間ドックを受けていて、心電図の再検査を受けることになったんです。父親が心臓の病気から脳梗塞で亡くなったことを思い出し、メイとの年齢差を気にしていたんです。自分はメイより先に死ぬし、介護などの面倒をかけるかもしれないと思ったら恐ろしくなって逃げたというんです。ナギサさんは本当にやさしい人です！
